When designing the pneumatic ash handling system, first, you should  ensure that it can finish the expected delivery tasks, at the same time, reasonably determine the type and capacity of equipment, and the problems related to this. When designing, you cannot look only at the cost of equipment, but more importantly to consider the influence that the material nature brings on the quality, considering its conveying volume, transportation distance, transportation route, and the difficulty and cost of operation management, etc.For instance, for some materials, all sorts of equipment are suitable for the condition of the pneumatic conveying, but if the pneumatic conveying cannot be used because the material has a lot of water content and has adhesion such factors, even if there is a large mechanical conveying equipment cost, you should select the  mechanical transmission mode as well.Such a situation may also occurs. When conveying certain materials, for example, deliver the  limestone powder to the storage bin of circulating fluidized bed boiler furnacer, its power needed is very large and it seems that the operating cost is high, but from the rationality of the system or the production technology, we should use a pneumatic conveying for best.Which method/ technology should you adopt under some certain circumstances.

When the economy is relatively reasonable, generally speaking, in a relatively short distance transport, the mechanical transmission is quire beneficial; On the other hand, for the long distance transportation, although from the point of the required power, using the pneumatic conveying system is in disadvantage. However, in terms of the equipment cost, the pneumatic conveying system is usually beneficial. The equipment cost and the required power and operation cost are different according to different conditions and the change is very big, so  it can't be compared in general. You should also notice that with all sorts of platform support and ancillary equipments and the  big change scale. Anyhow when designing the pneumatic ash removal system, you should according to the specific engineering conditions to elect the most appropriate transmission system and the corresponding equipment after comprehensive comparsion of the technology and economy.

If the system's output and transportation distance is set, then the system's economy feature generally depends on the  conveying ash-gas mixing ratio. From the energy consumption, the power of the  pressure (smoke) gas equipment needed is  proportional to the system pressure multiplied by the air flow rate. If improving the ash-gas mixing ratio, the amount of air can be reduced. Under the condition of the transmission speed maintaining at a certain figure, the air volume is proportional to the square of the pipe diameter, the Q ¡Ø D2 and system pressure of pipeline resistance is inversely proportional to the pipe inner rehabilitated, namely 1 / P ¡Ø D is not  proportional to the ash-gas ratio. Therefore, to improve the delivery/gas ratio, you should reduce the amount of air and it is very beneficial to reduce the pressure of the energy consumption (smoke) gas equipment; secondly, from the system infrastructure costs, because of the increase of the ash -gas ratio of equipment and pipeline diameter, support and installation cost can be reduced accordingly. The effect of reducing the system's infrastructure cost is quite obvious.

The bigger of the ash-gas ratio, the more beneficial for increasing the transmission capacity, which will apparently improve the economy as well. However, if the ash-gas ratio is too large, it may produce under the same air velocity and the delivery pressure will be increased. For the low negative pressure and positive pressure pneumatic conveying system, it is likely to exceed the suction pressure or exhaust pressure the the pneumatic machine allows. Therefore, the ash-gas ratio value is influenced by the physical properties of the material, transmission mode and delivery conditions. Especially for the positive pressure pneumatic conveying system, considering the size and structure of the pump itself, the inner diameter of the transporting pipe and the length, the number of elbow and the volume of air such conditions. The ash-gas ratio is easier constrained than natural gas.
