Faults and its solutions   


The pneumatic conveying system uses the gas as a carrier to transport material or small items in the closed pipeline. Due to the material to produce movement relative to the pipe, so the wear on pipeline is inevitable. And in some certain cases, it also can produce the phenomenon of unsmooth movement,namely it may produce the blockage. As the material performance, the pipe conditions, gas source machinery running state and operation and the weather change could produce material jam, especially in a sealed condition.It's hard to perceive the change of the above situation, thus once the jams suddenly appear,you will tend to be caught off guard, which has a great impact on the production. 

1. Blockage

(1) The congestion reasons:

 For a set of pneumatic conveying system with reasonable design parameters, precise manufacturing installation, and correct operation. In some certain occasional cases, it also can lead to the transporting pipe blocked.  The following several aspects are used to seek the cause of blockage under this kind of circumstance.         

 

(2)Methods to prevent blockage

In designing the  pneumatic conveying device,  we will choose the types and each component structure of the  pneumatic conveying device and  reasonably determine  each  process parameters of this device according to the conveying of material performance, productivity, and the actual situation of transport distance.

2.wear    

In the pneumatic conveying equipment, materials (or objects) move relatively to the transporting pipe, therefore, the wear of the transporting pipe is almost inevitable. In the practical production, we often take various measures to find out the best way to  reduce wear. (1) For the bending  pipe, there are mainly three ways to improve its service life. 

1) change the bending material, improve the wear resistance ability, adopt suitable wear resistant materials into bending and  its service life can increase 10 times.         

(2)The measures to reduce the wear of the straight pipe and  improve its service life;

3) Try to reduce the transmission speed of airflow. For the compression type pneumatic conveying device ,we adopt the  low voltage low speed transmission for best; For  the carrying type pneumatic conveying device,we use the low speed high vacuum conveying for best.         

 

There are lots of measurement method of the pipe wear. You can use the vernier caliper to measure the wall thickness difference before and after delivery. You can also measure the weight difference before and after the period of pipeline. You still can use ultrasonic thickness meter directly to measure the pipe wall thickness before and after the wear.
